Contemporary Black & White
Many couples these days like to celebrate their relationship with a romantic couples portrait. And there are lots of good reasons too: An engagement, anniversary, birthday or… “just because”.
Gone are those naff portraits stiffly posed against a predictable mottled blue background, staring into the lens with a fixed grin. Family Portraits
Family portraits are great fun at the BeautyPhoto Studio.
Modern family portraiture reflects you as a family. These are photographs you will look back on in years to come and remember the fun and laughter, the fashions the hair styles, in fact all the things that make us who we are today.
Passport Pictures
Because a biometric representation of the image is also stored on a chip in your passport, your photograph has to adhere to a strict set of precise requirements.
Whilst it is theoretically possible to obtain a compliant image from one of those “Photo Booths” there remains a very strong possibility of having your photo rejected by the authorities. When is comes to children’s and baby passport photos, the likelyhood of rejection becomes even greater.
A professional photographer will produce passport photographs that are guaranteed to comply with the strict new regulations and these apply equally to Drivers Licence, Shotgun Licenses, Visas, and passes too.
Jayne and Chris Birchall also produce pictures for non UK passports, including: American (USA) Canadian, French, Netherlands, and European passports. One of the most recent changes are the requirements for Indian visas which now have to be two inches square.
Charity Calendar
Jayne and Chris have produced three naked calendars in as many years, raising over £25,000 for charity. Their 2010 offering features ten ladies from the Llyn Helyg Livery near Holywell hence the title “Classy Cobs”
This calendar follows on the success of their 2008 “Cheeky Chappies” calendar and the 2009 “Beauty and the Beast” which was the UK’s first double-sided unisex naked charity calendar.

Travel information
By road the portrait studio is little over 20 miles from Chester, Rhyl, Wrexham, Holywell, Bala, Llandudno, and Oswestry. Mold and Corwen are ten miles and Llangollen sixteen. Many of these towns, particularly Chester and Wrexham, do have high street photographic studios, however BeautyPhoto.com remain the only beauty portrait specialists in the north of Wales serving communities in Clwyd, Cheshire, Conwy and in Gwynedd as well as further afield with customers regularly travelling from all over the north west and Midlands.

Far from being a new venture, photography studio owners Chris & Jayne Birchall have been shooting cover shots makeovers on an international level for years.
The secret is in the makeup. Few of us have perfect skin, so the make up is applied to create as near perfect complexion as is possible but always in line with the aspirations and age of the client.
Formally Studio 10, the Birchall’s professional photography business is based at Ruthin in north Wales (Denbighshire). The studio is centrally placed to serve Wrexham, Chester, Rhyl, Holywell, Bala, Llandudno, and Oswestry, as well as communities in the Wirral, Cheshire and Merseyside. Clients also travel from much further afield – Lancashire, Yorkshire and Cumbria for instance. In fact where ever you live in the north west, Wales and the Midlands our studio is no more than a couple of hours away.
For over 25 years we have offered a high quality efficient, friendly commercial industrial and public relations (PR) photography, in addition to photojournalism news, fashion and feature coverage, for national and international publications. No job is deemed too small. The studio are equally happy to produce a humble passport photo for use on a driving licence or ID card.
More recently we decided to venture into the family portrait photography market and can offer the best social, personal photographic service including family sittings, children’s portraits, mother and baby, and makeovers to clients in Denbighshire, Gwynedd, Flintshire and surrounding areas.
Upon this we have built a business using the latest techniques in digital photography to back up our artistic and creative talents, we now offer the finest contemporary, photographic imagery.

As professional studio photographers we produce passport photographs guaranteed to comply with the strict new regulations. Drivers Licence, Shotgun Licenses, Visas, Bus passes too.
At our Ruthin Studio we also take photographs for non UK passports, including: American (USA) Canadian, French, Netherlands, and European passports. Indian visa or passport? We can now produce photographs for the new tourist visa for people travelling to India.
Picture Framing
We offer a bespoke framing service for our portrait customers, mainly using glassless frames as our portraits have a heat-sealed laminated finish. We also produce canvas wraps, block mounted portraits and acrylics.

Hair and Make up
A bad hair day will ruin a cover girl portrait. Beauty stylist Jayne will groom and coax your hair style into shape so that it looks good for the camera. Very few people know how to pose for the camera – to present their ‘best side’ – how to smile naturally – to look ‘pensive’ but not glum. You don’t need to be a model at our portrait studio 10, Jayne and Chris will guide you throughout your makeover (make-up) and photography shoot.
Double chin? What double chin?
Using creative lighting and camera angles enhance the most photogenic features whilst playing down any aspects with which you are not happy. Sticky-out ears and double chins will never even get a look in!

Airbrushing and retouching
As digital artist, UK and international award-winning image maker Chris Birchall undertakes the restoration work necessary to restore old faded photographs, carefully retouching and reconstructing an image using the latest digital retouching enhancement and airbrushing techniques in Photoshop .
